The Vanguard Returns! [2022]

The Vanguard is back!

After a massive debut year (820 athletes), The Vanguard is back for year number two. The RP Funding Center and Lakeland, FL will once again host same-sex teams of two and co-ed teams of four over two days of teamwork-centric workouts.

This event is run by the same team behind The Atlantic Coast Classic, and we’ll bring our usual — a huge, well-run competition with straight-ahead, no-gimmicks programming, a top-end venue with a great vendor village, and a weekend full of varied tests of team fitness.

Venue

Our venue is the top-notch RP Funding Center, and we’re taking it over!

We’ll have competition in the Jenkins Arena, vendors and campground inside the Exhibit Halls, and food vendors inside the concourses.

Our swim workout will take place at the Gandy Pool, a 10 lane, 25′ short-course swimming facility just down the road.

NOTE: Beginner is Teams of 2 ONLY and Saturday ONLY (3 workouts). Beginners will not have to swim. All other divisions will compete Saturday and Sunday. 2-3 workouts each day, including a swim.
